What does Lash and Brow Services involve?

Almost all professional makeovers include lash and brow treatments, as well-groomed brows and lashes can dramatically change a person’s appearance. It can open up one’s eyes, frame one’s natural features, and give more definition to one’s overall appearance.

All women, including mothers, businesswomen, models, film stars, TV presenters and stage performers, can enhance their eyebrows by means of shaping, tinting and plucking. Cosmetics companies have designed many products and treatments specifically for the eyebrows and eyelashes. A Lash and Brow Therapist can advise clients on which products and treatments to go for, and can perform various treatments for his or her clients.

Many clients seek lash and brow treatments in preparation for special occasions such as fashion shows, on-stage performances, weddings, and other formal social events.

• Students must be over the age of 16

Course duration:

4 months

In order to complete the Learning Group Short Course Certificate in Lash and Brow Services, students will have to complete the following subjects:

• Anatomy and Physiology
• Professional Salon Skills
• Lash and Brow Services

Detailed Course Structure

Assessment and award:

• You will be required to submit a number of assignments to the college for marking.
• Upon successful completion of the course, you will be awarded a Learning Group Short Course Certificate in Lash and Brow Services.

Accreditation status:

This programme is not registered on the NQF – it is therefore not a credit-bearing programme.
